MicrobiologiaIt is a Specialized Module for the automation of validated S.O.P. applied to the analysis of Water and Food.

The microbiological analysis has always been perceived as a complex activity as regards the management and traceability of steps that the laboratory technician performs during the analysis, for data management and for the calculation of the final result which can vary according to the number of microorganisms present on the plates.
For this purpose the Microbiology module offers the user the ability to manage data in Analisi and calculate the final result of the test in accordance with the cases specified in the relevant regulations.

The norms concerned are:

  • Food (Liquids and Solids)
    • ISO 7218:2007
      • It provides general requirements and guidelines for research or enumeration of microorganisms for food microbiology laboratories.
      • From it we can draw:
        • The culture method in Petri dishes
        • The culture method in test tubes:
          • Counting of microorganisms by the MPN method (2 and 5 tubes)
    • ISO 18593
      • It provides horizontal methods for sampling techniques from surfaces using contact discs and pads.
    • ISO/TS 19036
      • Calculation and expression of uncertainty
  • Water
    • ISO 8199:2005
      • water quality, provides guidelines for the enumeration of microorganisms on a soil culture
    • UNI 10674:2002
      • Water intended for human consumption, provides the overall guidance for microbiological determinations.

The Module:

  • it manages readings on single or double plate;
  • it manages readings with or without identification of the colonies;;
  • it allows you to enter the diluted solutions of the various plates;;
  • It takes into account the particular cases submitted by the aforementioned regulations, expressing the notes as per regulations and considering the different ranges of acceptability
    (ex .: range between 10-300, range between 10 -150, plates with more than 300 colonies, etc …);
  • it manages the culture method in test tubes with MPN method;

As it regards the surfaces, it can handle the sampled area, the neutralizing solution and colony counts for the various dilutions.

Referring to the water you can define filtered sample volumes for individual plate with their count and calculate the uncertainty according to norms ISO 8199: 2005 and UNI 10674: 2002.
