The LIMS must represent a specialized software tool for the management of the laboratory processes, but must remain an integral part of all the Company Information System (ERP, MES, SCADA).
For this, both in laboratories C.to Third Party Service, both of Production Quality Control Laboratories, should be possible effective LIMS-Business Information System Communication.
The methods for implementing the LIMS – S.I. connection can be different and the correct choice must be made based on the drafting of a detailed project:
The affected areas may relate :
- The Estimates (if the Company is prevailing over the specification of the Laboratory)
- The management of Job Orders (full or only in technical area)
- Product Specifications
- The integrated Quality Control (Raw Materials and Products) on Purchasing, Production and Sales
- Orders to suppliers (for the Warehouse Laboratory are specific)
- Billing
For all of these areas have been made standard interfaces (Management, ERP, MRP, MES most common) or are Customized specific interfaces (border tables).
